Fences & Raised Gardens
Wood privacy features, garden enclosures and raised beds that fit the way you use your yard.
Wood fences and gates
A solid wood fence can define the edge of an outdoor room or screen a view beside the house. Plan the gates at the same time so the finished boundary still works for people, garden equipment and the routes you use every day.
The project shown above combines wood panels with a gate beside the home. Bring photographs of the view you want to change and any available boundary information. We can discuss panel style, gate placement and the relationship to existing paving and planting.
Details to decide together
- The areas to screen and the views to preserve.
- Gate locations and the access they need to provide.
- The proposed wood, finish and care requirements.
- Site conditions and any location or approval questions.
Raised beds and garden enclosures
Wood-framed beds organize the growing space and define the paths around it. A surrounding frame and mesh can form a separate garden enclosure, with a gate and entry detail coordinated with the rest of the yard.
This garden includes planted beds, gravel paths and an arbor over the entrance. For your project, start with the plants you want to grow and how you will reach, tend and water them. Discuss the bed arrangement, material selection and enclosure with those needs in mind.

Coordinate the finishing work
We can discuss a fence or garden as its own project or alongside a patio, path or broader outdoor plan. The proposal should identify removal, construction, planting and disturbed-area restoration where they apply. Have the relevant boundary, support and approval requirements established for the chosen location.
